Daaru Salaam University Appoints Prof. Paul Allieu Kamara as Director of Research Development Office.

Professor of Leadership and Organizational Development to lead DSU’s research development agenda

MOGADISHU, SOMALIA 27 August 2026— Daaru Salaam University (DSU) is pleased to announce the appointment of Prof. Paul Allieu Kamara as Director of Research Development Office, effective immediately. In his new role, Prof. Kamara will provide strategic leadership for the University’s research agenda in Mogadishu, Somalia the World Over, working to expand DSU’s research capacity, strengthen institutional partnerships, and advance the University’s mission of academic excellence.

Prof. Kamara is a Professor of Leadership and Organizational Development with a distinguished record of scholarship and academic leadership. He is an award winning author of over 32 books published all over the World and Research on Financial crime preventions cited by over 40,000 researchers at Research Gate and he is currently completing a book, “The Danger of Power, Money and Greed: The Effects on the Poor in Africa,” which examines the impact of power, wealth, and corruption on vulnerable communities across the continent.

University officials expressed confidence that Prof. Kamara’s expertise in leadership and organizational development will strengthen DSU’s growing research infrastructure and help position the University as a leading center for research excellence in Somalia and the wider region.

“We are delighted to welcome Prof. Kamara to this key leadership role,” a University spokesperson said. “His experience and scholarly focus on leadership, power, and institutional development align closely with DSU’s commitment to producing research that has a meaningful impact on our communities.”

In his capacity as Director of Research Development Office, Prof. Kamara will work closely with faculty, researchers, and academic leadership across DSU’s faculties to build research capacity, foster a culture of inquiry, and support the University’s growing portfolio of academic and institutional partnerships.
